Day 1: Cairo

Day 2: Cairo/Aswan
Fly to Aswan. Visit Philae Temple or the market (optional). Take a boat to a Nubian village for a community walk and traditional dinner.

Guided tour of Abu Simbel in the morning. Board your river cruise for the night.

Itinerary

  1. Day 1 Cairo

    Arrive in Cairo at any time. Your transfer to the hotel is included. Meet your local guide and group for a briefing about the journey ahead.

  2. Day 2 Cairo/Aswan

    Fly to Aswan, known for its stunning views of the Nile and Nubian heritage. Visit the picturesque Philae Temple (optional), dedicated to the goddess Isis, or explore the vibrant Aswan market. In the evening, enjoy a boat ride to a Nubian village, where you'll walk through the community and share a traditional dinner in a local home.

  3. Day 3 Aswan – Nile Cruise

    Embark on a guided tour of Abu Simbel, two massive temples carved into a cliff to honor Ramses II and his queen Nefertari. Admire their grandeur and learn about their relocation to avoid flooding. Later, board your Nile cruise boat for your first night onboard.

  4. Day 4 Aswan/Kom Ombo – Nile Cruise

    Sail along the Nile and stop at Kom Ombo Temple, uniquely dedicated to two gods: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon god. Discover its fascinating history and enjoy scenic views from the boat.

  5. Day 5 Kom Ombo/Luxor – Nile Cruise

    Continue cruising the Nile, passing picturesque villages, desert landscapes, and lush riverbanks. Arrive in Luxor, often called the world’s greatest open-air museum, in the evening.

  6. Day 6 Luxor

    Explore the West Bank, starting with the Valley of the Kings, the burial site of Egypt’s pharaohs, including Tutankhamun. Visit the impressive mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut and stop to admire the Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III.

  7. Day 7 Luxor

    Discover the majestic Karnak Temple, a vast complex dedicated to the god Amun, and Luxor Temple, built to celebrate the Opet Festival. Spend your afternoon exploring Luxor’s bustling bazaar, visiting museums, or taking an optional tour of lesser-known temples.

  8. Day 8 Luxor/Alexandria

    Fly to Cairo, then travel to Alexandria, stopping at the ancient monasteries of Wadi Natrun, a key site for early Christian monasticism. Upon arrival in Alexandria, enjoy free time to relax or explore this Mediterranean city.

  9. Day 9 Alexandria

    Discover the ancient wonders of Alexandria, including Pompey’s Pillar, the Roman catacombs, and the modern Alexandria Library, built near the site of the legendary ancient library. Enjoy the afternoon exploring independently or with an optional tour.

  10. Day 10 Alexandria/Cairo
